Several Meridian High School Track and Field Student-Athletes received their State Championship Rings for their success on the track last year on Friday, September 27, 2024.
The Meridian High Wildcats became the first MHSAA Boys’ 7A State Basketball champions with a thrilling 54-50 win over the Clinton Arrows on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Mississippi Coliseum.

Coach Gandy greeted the MHS football players, fans, and the media during the event, which was held in the MHS Multipurpose Building. Oxford, MS - (January 16, 2024) – Today, the Mississippi Excellence in Coaching Fellowship announced the 25 Coaches who have been selected for the 2023-24 class. The Coaching Fellowship, also known as Tomorrow’s 25, is hosted by the University of Mississippi School of Education in partnership with the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) and the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA). Its mission is to annually select and invest in 25 coaches from across the state who have been deemed an emerging leader in the area of high school and middle school athletics.

The MHS Boys beat Pearl by a total pin score of 2296 to 2159. Jonathan Scarbrough led the boys bowling at 194, while Jabralen McClendon was two pins off Scarbrough's pace with 192.
