2025 Lady Cats Volleyball Season Preview

The Meridian High School Lady Cats are set to take the court for an action-packed 2025 season, bringing high energy, fierce competition, and a deep roster ready to compete in every match. With a balanced schedule of non-district tune-ups and crucial district contests, the Lady Cats aim to make their mark in Class 7A under the bright lights of Wildcat Gym.

The season opened on August 4 with a road trip to Southeast, followed by their home debut against Quitman (Aug. 5). Early in the schedule, the Lady Cats face several tough tests, including matchups with Wayne County, West Lowndes, and a rematch against Southeast before diving into district play.

District competition kicks off August 19 at Northwest Rankin, followed by key home battles against Brandon (Aug. 21) and Pearl (Aug. 26). September heats up with district showdowns versus Oak Grove (Sept. 2), Petal (Sept. 16), and a late-season trip to Oak Grove (Sept. 18). The Lady Cats will also face a mix of in- and out-of-district opponents like Kemper County, Choctaw County, and Lamar, keeping the team sharp for the postseason push.

The regular season wraps up at home with Senior Night on October 2 vs. West Lowndes, where fans will celebrate the contributions of the team’s graduating leaders.

With a strong blend of experience, athleticism, and determination, the Lady Cats are poised to serve up a thrilling 2025 campaign. Whether at home or on the road, expect fast-paced rallies, powerful kills, and a relentless Wildcat spirit from the first serve to the final point.
