Wildcat Baseball takes season opening win for first win on campus in 50 years

Meridian High School baseball played its first game on campus in over 50 years last week.
The Wildcats opened the season with a 19-3 victory over East Marion on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Before the game, MHS Principal Sherrod Miller threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Wildcats finished the week strong with victories over McLaurin and Quitman. MHS is 3-0 on the season and will travel to East Marion for the first road game of the year.
