Two Lady Wildcats Basketball team members will continue to play at the next level once they graduate on May 24, 2024.

Seniors Taleah Anderson and Raygan Faulkner made their future plans known during a signing ceremony held at the MHS Multipurpose Building on Friday, April 26, 2024, while friends and family watched with excitement.

Faulkner addressed the crowd first letting those in attendance know that she would continue her academic and athletic career at Jones College under former Lady Wildcats’ head coach Deneshia Faulkner, who also happens to be her mother.

Faulkner averaged four points per game and 1 rebound per game her senior season.

Next up was Taleah Anderson, who left a little mystery to her final decision on where she would continue playing next year. Anderson had hats representing Xavier University of Louisiana, Mississippi College, and Meridian Community College on the table during the ceremony, ultimately choosing the Choctaws of Mississippi College.

Anderson averaged 10.8 points per game and 11.7 rebounds per game her senior season.

Anderson and Faulkner were members of the 2022 Meridian High School Lady Wildcats team that defeated Harrison Central to capture the program’s first State Championship in school history, which Deneshia Faulkner coached.
