Meridian High School senior softball player Alaysia Barlow signed with Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Barlow will continue her academic and athletic career as a student-athlete, marking an exciting next chapter in her journey.
The signing ceremony, held on the Meridian High School campus, brought together family, friends, teammates, and coaches to honor Barlow’s achievements on and off the field. Known for her skill, dedication, and leadership, Barlow has been a key player for the MHS softball team throughout her high school career.
“We are so proud of Alaysia,” said Mark Davis, MHS Softball Coach. “Her work ethic, determination, and love for the game have made her an incredible asset to our program. We know she will continue to excel at Oakwood University both academically and athletically.”
