MHS Boys place 3rd in State; set several 7A records at MHSAA Powerlifting Championships
The Meridian High school girls and boys powerlifting teams had a great day on the platform over the last two days at the MHSAA State Powerlifting Championships. The team had 5 lifters qualify for state competition and 4 out of the five lifters placed in the top 3 of their weight class and set some new 7A State Records. Unfortunately, our 5th lifter, Grant Hill, was injured during deadlifts but not before leaving his mark setting a new 7A record in Squats in the 181lb weight class.
The MHS Boys won 3rd place overall for 7A schools, which is very impressive with only 3 lifters finishing the competition.
