Meridian High School Hosts Meet the Wildcats for Winter Sports

Meridian High School kicked off the upcoming winter sports season with Meet the Wildcats on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. The evening was filled with excitement, school spirit, and community pride as students, families, and fans gathered to celebrate the talented athletes and teams representing MHS this winter.
The event featured introductions of the Chess Team, Speech and Debate Team, Cheerleaders, Ninth Grade Basketball Teams, and the MHS Boys' and Girls' Varsity Basketball Teams. Each group received cheers and applause as they took the floor, showcasing the wide range of student talent and dedication at Meridian High School.
Adding to the fun, the MHS Lady Wildcats hosted a thrilling three-point contest, while the MHS Wildcats showed off their athleticism and creativity in an exciting slam dunk contest. Both competitions brought plenty of energy and friendly competition, with the crowd cheering on every impressive shot and high-flying dunk.
The evening concluded with spirited scrimmages by both the Lady Cats and Wildcats basketball teams, giving fans an early look at what’s sure to be an exciting season ahead.
