Magnolia goes 3 of 4 in MPSD Middle School City Championships

The 2024 MPSD Middle School Basketball City Championships took place on Thursday, January 25, 2024, on the campus of Meridian High School. The 7th and 8th-grade teams from Magnolia Middle School hit the hardwood to see who would have Queen City bragging rights.
In seventh-grade action, the Magnolia girls team captured the City Championship with a victory over Northwest. On the seventh-grade boys’ side, Magnolia topped Northwest giving Magnolia the City Championship for both the Girls and Boys Seventh Grade Teams.
The Northwest boys claimed the 2024 City Championship in eighth-grade action with a thrilling one-point win over Magnolia. The Magnolia girls eighth-grade team came away with a big win to capture the City Championship over the Northwest girls.
