The Meridian High School track and field teams delivered strong performances at the Yellowjacket High School Invitational Meet held at Starkville High School on March 5, 2026.

The Lady Wildcats captured an impressive first-place overall finish, showcasing their talent, determination, and teamwork throughout the meet. Their performances across multiple events helped secure the top spot among competing teams.

Over 700 total student-athletes compete in sports in our middle schools and high school.

Boy's Basketball Championships

The MHS Basketball team won the the first 7A State Championship in 2024 and its first State Championship since 2017.

State Football Championships

The MHS Football team has won three state championships in 1985, 1990, and 2008.

Girls' Basketball State Championships

The Lady Wildcats won their only 6A State Championship in 2022 with a victory over Harrison Central.
